Independence Day falls on a Monday this year, and plenty of people will be celebrating America’s birthday (and the three-day weekend) with outdoor cookouts and family barbecues. But there are also plenty of people who’d rather skip the cooking and cleaning, opting to head to a restaurant on the 4th of July instead. In most cases, on the 4th of July restaurants open much as they do the rest of the year, but some may have limited hours in honor of the holiday.
Whether you’re planning to hit up the 4th of July sales at all the stores open on the 4th of July, bide your time until the local fireworks display begins, or select a celebration based on your zodiac sign, you’re going to need to eat. Applebee’s: If you feel like “eatin’ good in the neighborhood” on the 4th of July, you’re in luck. Applebee’s is open during regular hours on Independence Day. Keep in mind that these restaurants are independently owned, so it’s best to call your local Applebee’s to confirm its hours.
Bob Evans: Even if you’re hosting your own cookout, it can’t hurt knowing that Bob Evans is open on the 4th of July in case you need sides. And if you don’t want to cook at all, you’ll be pleased to know that Bob Evans offers dine-in, take-out, and delivery options on the holiday.
Bonefish Grill: If you’re in the mood for seafood on the nation’s birthday, make a reservation at Bonefish Grill. Or you can opt for carryout and enjoy the food at home while watching a 4th of July movie.
Boston Market: You can celebrate and save this 4th of July at Boston Market. Not only will all locations be open, but they’ll be offering $15 off any purchase of $30 or more.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Enjoy drums and flats of your choosing on the 4th of July by stopping in at Buffalo Wild Wings. The chain will be open for both dine-in and take-out options.
Burger King: The fast-food chain is typically open with regular hours on 4th of July weekend. But since most locations are privately owned, some may have reduced hours or be closed. If you’re craving a Whopper on Independence Day, call your local restaurant to ask if it’s open.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill: All locations are open on the 4th of July. Enjoy dinner in, or take your meal from Carrabba’s to go.
Chili’s: Not in the mood to make your own baby back ribs? Head to Chili’s, as locations are open with regular hours.
Cracker Barrel: Most Cracker Barrel locations will be open on the 4th of July, so you can stop in for a meal or pick up food to take home.
Denny’s: One of the oldest chain restaurants in America, Denny’s will be open with normal hours on the 4th of July. That’s great news if you want a filling breakfast before the holiday festivities.
Domino’s: Pizza may have originated in Italy, but cheesy pies are as American as it gets. So go ahead and order delivery from Domino’s—the pizza chain is typically open during regular hours on July 4th. Some local stores may have reduced hours, though, so it’s best to call ahead to double-check.
Dunkin’: Whether you’re traveling to a cookout, heading to a fireworks display, or craving a caffeine boost, you can grab a coffee at Dunkin’ on the 4th of July. Most locations will be open with regular hours.
